This varietal uses Front Range wildflower honey from Lazy Bee Ranch in Colorado.

Ingredients in this batch

  • 40 oz (2.5 lbs) Lazy Bee Ranch Front Range wildflower honey
  • 1 ½ tsp Fermax, added in three 1/2-tsp increments
  • ⅛ tsp Fermaid K
  • Filtered water to slightly over 1 gallon
  • 2 oz fermenting must from Patrick's batch 068, which used harvested WLP570 Belgian golden ale yeast from batch 054

Process

Mixed the honey with some warm water, topped up with cold water, and added the first round of nutrients. Starting gravity clocked in at 1.088. This batch was brewed during a hot time of year and spent its first few weeks in our water bath/swamp cooler setup to keep the temp down.
