More honey from the Farmer's Daughter in Half Moon Bay/Moss Beach. This is a dark, bitter honey, and I look forward to seeing how the varietal comes out.

Ingredients in this batch

  • 1.5 lbs Snyders tanbark oak honey
  • Kirkland clover honey to SG of 1.074
  • 1 ½ tsp yeast nutrient, added in three 1/2-tsp increments
  • ⅛ tsp Fermaid K
  • Filtered water to 1 gallon
  • ½ batch of Lalvin 71B-1122 yeast, split with Batch 073

Process

Unlike the unfortunate Batch 073, I mixed the honey in just fine for this one... but didn't write down how much clover honey I used. Ggggggghhhh. I suspect it was 1 lb, but I really maybe need to take better notes.
