This is our first brew at our new place in Minnesota! Since batch 209 came out delicious, we'd like to try it using (largely) ingredients from our new home.

Ingredients in this batch

  • Approx. 2½ gal. Aamodt's [soft] Apple Cider.
  • 3 lb. Kirkland Minnesota wildflower honey.
  • 2 lb. Kirkland wildflower honey (Product of Argentina).
  • 1 pack Wyeast 1388 (Belgian strong ale) yeast.

Sanitized equipment. Mixed honey into the apple juice one half-gallon of juice at a time by pouring some juice into the 3-gallon carboy, putting some honey into the half-gallon juice container, and shaking vigorously to mix. Smacked the smack-pack, waited approximately four hours, and pitched.

Brew date: 8 December 2020.
Original gravity:

Yield: TBD; hopefully, about three gallons.
