Update to technical description of The Worst of Bad Lovecraft

There have been some updates to the technical description of The Worst of Bad Lovecraft, mostly to describe the June 11th script update. Several other tweaks to the script were made, adjusting the number of allowable characters in the title and the maximum number of sentences allowed in individual stories.

Correction to S14 grading description

There was a small error in spring 2014's course document How Your Grade Is Calculated (in Extruciating Detail): the final exam was described as being worth 150 points in every place except for one, which described it as being worth 100 points. This oversight has been corrected. Also, all <h2> headings in that document now have the id= attribute assigned.

A minimalist overview of technical projects now exists.

There is now a grading rubric for my students available on the course website for the quarter.
A common problem has been fixed in >head< metadata for 75 files:

>link rel="schema.DCTERMS" href="http://purl.org/dc/terms/"<

has been replaced with

>link rel="schema.DCTERMS" href="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" /<

because the previous version did not follow XHTML self-closing tag practices for >link< tags. Which is bad. This happened when I searched & replaced header metadata, and it's been bugging me for a while.

Self-hosted WordPress blog added to site

Installed a self-hosted WordPress installation at http://patrickbrianmooney.nfshost.com/~patrick/blogs/NorCheeringCrowds in response to Alan's requirement, for English 236 this quarter, that we start a research blog.

Now I just have to generate some blog posts.

Note to self: this involved downloading WP-cli, installing php5-cli on my local machine, testing to make sure WP-cli was minimally functional, transferring it to the NFShost.com server via rsync, running it to create a local installation, following the NearlyFreeSpeech.net's WordPress installation instructions, and editing wp-config.php to indicate to the WordPress installation what its base URL is (i.e., not the domain name for the site as a whole). Whew.

Posted the final portfolio assignment for my students, and updated the course website to point to it. Fixed some minor suboptimal coding bits on the front website, too.
Gave up on Google Fonts's font Karla entirely throughout the website, on the theory that Arial/Helvetica is a bit thinner, easier to read, and will result in less paper wastage when I print course documents.

Posted a draft grading rubric for the final portfolio assignment for my students, subject to class discussion.
Updated the semantics of documents written in HTML5: instead of using <p class="status">, code for these documents now uses <footer class="status"><small>.
Updated CSS styles to make some minor tweaks, and also to support item 2 in the list.

Added another extra-credit opportunity to the list: write two pages on the implications of Facebook's forthcoming privacy changes.
Updated the portfolio grading rubric after a class discussion: no changes, except that the headers across the top are now bold and italic, and the language that says it is a draft has been removed.
Updated the course home page to reflect these changes.

Updated personal info page; it now links to my ORCID ID and profile on Giphy. WP assignments from all 3 quarters last year were updated so that they now use the XFN notation rel="muse" to properly attribute my debt in a machine-readable form. A set of minor markup errors for metadata was corrected in spring 2015's grading rubric.
