Films, organized by manufacturer and film type
- Adox CMS II B/W 20
- Normal development procedure: not yet established.
- Successful development procedures:
- Rodinal 1+75 semi-stand, 20x agitations over first 30 seconds, then 5x at 40:00. (Still pretty high-contrast.)
- Unsuccessful development procedures:
- Caffenol CL semi-stand: still too much contrast, with virtually no shadow and highlight detail and strong exaggeration of lens vignetting. Not likely to be substantially better on a future roll with some exposure and development routine. Rating and exposing the film at EI 6 or 8 might help, though.
- Development notes: manufacturer claims film cannot be developed in standard developers. Later this is reduced to "should not and we cannot guarantee," etc. Apparently, film ISO varies greatly depending on developer used.

- Rodinal 1+100, 80:00, 40x/1x:
- 1262: slightly overdeveloped.
- Exposed at EI 1600, Rodinal 1+75, 80:00, 20x/5x:
- 1216: Underdeveloped or underexposed; low contrast. (Probably the fault is not in the development procedure itself, but in the fact that the film was badly underexposed, even with the assumption of a two-stop push. Alternately, maybe the film just shouldn't be pushed two stops.)
- Exposed at EI 1600, Rodinal 1+77, 80:00:
- 1278.
- Caffenol CL, 70:00, 40x/15x:
- 1237: better grain than in Rodinal, but still grainy; shadows are underexposed or perhaps underdeveloped.
- Development notes: requires extra fix and rinsing; see manufacturer data sheet.
- Next development attempt: Rodinal 1+100 semi-stand for 70:00, agitate 20x over first 30 seconds, 1x at 35:00.

- Figital Revolution claims that this is rebranded Eastman Double-X 5222 (q.v.), though this identification seems dubious to me: I don't have the Eastman 5222 markings on any of the rolls of X Film I've developed. It is a similar-looking film stock, though.
- Standard development procedure: HC-110 1+119 semi-stand, 60:00, 40x/10x.

- Rodinal 1+50, 19 min
- Rodinal 1+25, 9 min
- Cinestill B/W XX
- Eastman Double-X 5222
- Normal development procedure: not yet established. Rodinal 1+100 semi-stand at 60:00 is slightly over-developed for a roll exposed at EI 250. If this is the film CatLABS is marketing as X-320, perhaps they have the right idea when they rate it as this speed.

- 1356: Relatively high contrast; good shadow and highlight detail; emphasizes lines and forms.
- 1367: High contrast, muddy greens. Low grain. Good for stonework in the graveyard but not for graveyard shots in general.
- 1371, 1412, 1417: High contrast, low grain. Less exposure latitude than I'd like when including the sky. Nice, visible textures on concrete and brickwork.
- 1390 / 1405: Moderately contrasty. Appropriately developed, but much of roll focuses on subject matter not really well suited for this film.

- Orthochromatic B/W duplicating film at ISO 12.
- Normal development procedure: not yet established.
- Unsuccessful developing attempts:
- Rodinal 1+100 semi-stand: 1284.
- Next developing attempt: probably something strictly adhering to manufacturer instructions.
- Manufacturer developing suggestions:
- Rodinal 1+50, 13 min.
- D-76 1+1, 9 min.
- Xtol stock, 5.5 min.
- Suggested starting point for other developers: treat as Ilford Delta 400.
- Other developing suggestions:
- The Massive Dev Chart suggests semi-stand in Rodinal 1+100 for 90 minutes at 18℃ with continuous agiatation for first 30–60 seconds and 1–3 agitations during the rest of development—that's approximately 75 minutes at 20℃.
- The Massive Dev Chart suggests, for Ilford Delta 400, semi-stand development with 30–60 sec. initial agitation and then agitation every 5–10 minutes to a total of 36 minutes.
- Single photo on Flickr stand-developed in Rodinal 1+100. Another at 1+50. Neither has a development time or agitation schedule listed.
- Shooting notes (from manufacturer data sheet):
- Load in shadow to avoid light piping.
- Easy to overexpose the sky in outdoor scenes.
- Low sensitivity to tungsten light; indoor shooting using incandescent blubs not recommended.
- Links:

- Shooting notes:
- Medical fluorographic X-ray film at ISO 100.
- Load in shadow, shoot six initial shots to avoid light piping.
- Note: light piping is no joke here.
- Normal development procedure: not yet established.
- Partially successful development attempts:
- HC-110 1+15, 5:00, 20x/5x every 30 sec:
- 1403: still plenty of light piping, and extreme adjustments to the gray midpoint are necessary, but some shots came out quite nicely here.
- HC-110 1+15, 5:00, 20x/5x every 30 sec:
- Unsuccessful development procedures:
- Next development attempt: Possibly a clip test, splitting an exposed roll into multiple strips, accepting the loss of negatives, and trying HC-110 dil. A with standard agitation, HC-110 stand, the Massive Dev Chart's semi-stand for 42 minutes for FP4+, and Caffenol?
- Manufacturer developing suggestions:
- Rodinal 1+25, 9 min.
- D-76 1+1, 11 min.
- HC-110 dilution A, 4.5 min.
- Suggested starting point for other developers: treat as Ilford FP4 [sic.: not FP4+, either intentionally or not].
- Other development suggestions:
- Links:
- Shooting notes:
- Film Washi S
- Panchromatic (but not fully red-sensitive) sound-recording film at ISO 50.
- Normal development procedure: Rodinal 1+25, 11:00, 15x / 5x every 30 sec.
- Successful developing attempts:
- Rodinal 1+25, 11:00, 15x / 5x every 30 sec: 1361, 1369 / 1407.
- Moderately successful developing attempts:
- Rodinal 1+100 semi-stand: 1285.
- Unsuccessful development attempts:
- Rodinal 1+25, 9:00, with standard agitation schedule: 1300 (underdeveloped, too contrasty).
- Rodinal 1+25, 11:00, 15x / 5x every 30 sec: 1394: development was fine, as shown by two other rolls of successfully developed Washi S in the same tank at the same time, but the exposure was off because the entire venue was in shadow.
- Manufacturer developing suggestions:
- Ilfosol 3 1+9, 7.5 min.
- Rodinal 1+25, 11 min.
- D-76 1+1, 9.5 min.
- Xtol stock, 7 min.
- Suggested starting point for other developers: treat as Kodak Tri-X at EI 400.
- Other development suggestions:
- The Massive Dev Chart suggests Rodinal 1+25 with standard agitation schedule for 11 minutes.
- Phil Harrison says the lab he sent it to did a 45-minute stand in Rodinal 1+100.
- Alex Luyckx tried (and found acceptable):
- Kodak D-76 1+1 for 9.5 minutes
- Kodak HC-110, dilution H, for 9 minutes
- Rodinal 1+25, for 11 minutes (and hypthetically suggests Rodinal 1+200 true stand for 60 minutes)
- Massive Dev Chart suggests (for Tri-X at EI 400) Rodinal 1+100 non-stand for 24 minutes with continuous agitation first 30 sec., then 10 sec. of every 30 thereafter.
- Quasi-anonymous suggestion at Filmdev.org suggests 1+100 Rodinal semi-stand for 60:00, but says ISO 12: not sure if the poster is suggesting it be overexposed four stops to develop with Rodinal or is conflating it with Washi A.

- 1345. Nice, clean roll, though there are small bits of uneven development in places. Could use more agitation, and this roll in particular would benefit from having stand development compress its dynamic range.
- Rodinal 1+77 semi-stand, 60:00, 20x/5x:
- 1401: Moderately successful, but some sprocket surge and not quite enough contrast. Needs more agitation.
- HC-110 1+119 semi-stand, 60:00, 20x/5x:
- HC-110 1+119 semi-stand, 60:00, 40x/10x:
- 1344: surprisingly good results for FP4+ shot at box speed inside at a concert. Stand development really seems to have paid off here.
- 1395: really beautiful roll. There are places where it looks like holding back the highlights a little with the lower agitation schedule might have helped, though. Might also be worthwhile reducing the development time somewhat.

- Exposed at EI 1600, Rodinal 1+100 full stand for 120 minutes:
- 1311 / 1315, 1312 / 1314: Lots of good results provided lighting is sufficient. Darker shots don't work well. 1+82 is better for HP5+ at EI 1600.

- HC-110 1+119 semi-stand, 60:00, 40x/10x:
