3. Thesis statements:
   • Remember that your first thesis statement assignment was due at midnight last night. For this assignment only, I am extending the deadline until midnight on Thursday.
     • You should send your thesis statements to me by email.
     • It makes my life easier if you just put the thesis statement assignment in the body of an email instead of attaching a Word document.
     • Late thesis statements will earn fewer points than thesis statements that come in on time, but I will accept them up to two weeks late.
     • You must submit all five thesis statements in a timely fashion to receive a passing grade for the course.

   3. What characteristics does a good thesis statement for a college literature paper have? What is the function of a thesis statement in an analytical paper?
